E-Votes

Frequently Asked Questions

E-Votes provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) as a service to stakeholders and others who are seeking information regarding the conduct of e-voting by E-Votes. These are provided for informational purposes only and should be construed as such. For questions not answered here, E-Votes provides a contact form by which the public may seek additional information.

Q1. I haven't got any invitation email for e-voting while my friends / coworkers / family members / society members etc. got it. Why is it so?

A. We send invite emails to all the emails which are on the list. It could happen that the invite email was delivered to spam. Also if your name is on the voter list, you can vote. It does not matter whether you got the e-voting invitation email or not. All you have to visit the front page of this site, fill your email in the input box, and start doing e-voting. This voter list is accessible only while e-voting is active, therefore, if e-voting is yet to start, please have patience. Once the e-voting opens, you can check your details on the list.

Q2. When I put my email in the input box for e-voting, it says email not found. Why is it so?

A. We are provided a list of names, emails, voting shares, etc. by the person conducting the e-voting which we load into our system provided you have greater than 0% voting share. If your email is not on that list, then it'll not be available for e-voting on this website. For this, you'll have to talk to the concerned person on your own. Another scenario could be that you might be trying to enter some different email addresses of yours. In that case, just enter the correct registered email and you should be able to vote. Also, remember even if your email is on the list but with 0% voting share, you'll not be able to vote.

Q3. I want to verify which email should I use for doing e-voting. What should I do?

A. Simply visit the voter list page and check your name and email address. The emails are masked for security reasons but you'll get an idea which one to use. Also, you can access the list only while the e-voting is active. If the e-voting has not yet started or has ended, then the same will not be displayed.

Q4. I have waited long enough but didn't get any OTP on my email. What should I do?

A. OTPs are always sent from our side almost immediately and delivered to the email service providers (like Gmail.com, Yahoo.com, Outlook.com, your corporate servers, etc.) in under a minute on an average. Those email providers then put them in a queue, runs some spam filters and deliver to your inbox. Sometimes, they get false positives and classify our emails as spam and deliver to your spam folder also known as junk email. So make sure, you check the spam folder to see if it is there. Some email service providers e.g. Outlook.com are notorious for not delivering even to the spam folder and simply just do not deliver. So you may end up with no OTP. In that case, please try automatic verification if you use your registered email with either Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook. This process is fast and does not require OTP. If you don't use your email with either of these services, then you are out of luck. In that case, please fill the contact form and we'll assist you.

Q5. I am having a problem getting emails from E-Votes on my current email address. Can I update it?

A. Yes, indeed you can. However, we'll need to verify that you own the email address fed into the system. For that, you have to email us at support@evotes.in from your current email address and put the new email address in the body of the email. Please make sure you include your name, mobile number, and the e-voting website URL so that we know for which e-voting you are trying to update your email address. We conduct several e-votings at a time, so it would be difficult to update without getting the e-voting URL.

Q6. How do I whitelist your domain so I can receive your emails?

A. We mail through evotes.in domain which you can whitelist in your email service provider. Please also whitelist irpmail.com (another service of ours used by insolvency resolution professionals to send emails when the recipients are too many) and technovus.in (used to communicate in rare cases) which are our associated domains.

Q7. I want my name and/or email address to be added on the list. How can I do that?

A. Sorry, it is not possible to include your name and/or email address from our side. For this, you'll have to contact Mr. Sarvesh Kashyap at anglecirp@gmail.com or Mr. Rajesh Kumar Parakh (AR) at angleinfraar@gmail.com. Once they send us a written request, we'll include your details and notify you.

Q8. I want to know the reason why my name is not included. Can you tell me whom to contact?

A. Yes, for sure. Please contact Mr. Sarvesh Kashyap at anglecirp@gmail.com or Mr. Rajesh Kumar Parakh (AR) at angleinfraar@gmail.com for matters related to claims and/or name or email address missing in the e-voting list. Only they can tell the reason why your details are not included.

Q9. I want to know about the status of the claims I filed. Can you tell me?

A. Sorry, we cannot tell you about that. We only conduct e-voting and have no access to the claims made by you and the supporting document you might have supplied. We are a completely separate entity hired by the person conducting the e-voting. As such, we cannot help you in this matter. You can contact Mr. Sarvesh Kashyap at anglecirp@gmail.com or Mr. Rajesh Kumar Parakh (AR) at angleinfraar@gmail.com to ask for the same.

Q10. I don't know how to vote or my network is problematic. Can you vote on my behalf?

A. Sorry, we cannot do that. You'll have to complete the e-voting on your own. Also, we cannot suggest which options to select. It is entirely your choice.

Q11. I made a mistake and submitted the e-voting form. Can I do it again or change my selections?

A. Sorry, you cannot do the e-voting again once it is submitted. Also, selections cannot be changed under any circumstances. The only exception is if all or some of the agendas failed to display or saved due to technical error on our side. In that case, the whole e-voting process would be rendered null and void and e-voting conducted again.

Q12. I was in the middle of doing e-voting and now it says it has ended. Were my selections saved or not?

A. On average, the time taken to finish e-voting is just 5 minutes. It is expected that you visit the e-voting site well in time before the voting closes. If you have submitted and didn't received the receipt page and want to confirm if your vote is completed or not, you can visit the voting receipt page and check from there.

Q13. I have a question not listed here. How do I contact you?

A. Just visit our contact page and fill the form. We would respond to you as soon as possible.
